Residential People understands that construction has begun on a West Midlands development of seven new homes.
Designed for first-time buyers, the development on Chesterfield Road, near the centre of Lichfield, is being helmed by property company Key Land Capital.
Site clearance is already underway on the vacant land following approval by Lichfield District Council. Main contractor IDEASE Construction has been appointed to deliver the scheme, with work expected to reach practical completion in Q4 2022.
The development consists of three 2-bedroom and four 1-bedroom maisonettes, in two buildings, and fall under the government’s Help to Buy scheme.
Kevin Sharkey, Managing Director of Birmingham-based Key Land Capital, said: “It’s fantastic to see work start on-site at our Chesterfield Road development. These seven properties will provide much-needed, high-quality new homes for young first-time buyers in a great location.
“We have further plans to create more new homes in Lichfield and we hope to deliver a significant boost to the city’s residential sector at a time when the UK is crying out for more new homes.”
The Chesterfield Road development is just a short walk to the historic city centre, boasting a range of shops, bars, restaurants, and even an impressive cathedral.
