New Mortgage Platform Promises to be a Game-changer

A new online mortgage broker is aiming to be a ‘game-changer’ with the launch of its new ‘direct to consumer’ mortgage broker proposition.

The online mortgage broker platform, ‘Mortgagez’, has been in development since 2018, obtaining FCA approval and fine-tuning their USP of improving the mortgage journey for consumers.

The online mortgage broker aims to eradicate the pain points normally associated with a typical mortgage journey while ensuring that users receive the best possible mortgage deals without paying a fee.

Highlighting the reasons for creating the platform, Vik Roda (pictured right), Co-Founder of Mortgagez, stated: “Having worked in the mortgage market for many years I had struggled to find a “go-to” platform which combined streamlined information capture with smart mortgage solutions from experienced advisers. Ultimately it left me with no choice other than to develop such a platform myself. With the help of the fantastic team here at Mortgagez I firmly believe we have achieved this even if it has taken us a little longer than expected to get it absolutely right.”

What makes Mortgagez different from other mortgage brokers is their centralised and streamlined data capture that the firm states eliminated duplication and cuts down the application process.

The online broker offers an impressive ‘quick quote tool that requires no physical sign-up and will not affect a users credit score. The tool searches the market for a real mortgage in roughly under a minute to provide a comprehensive range of options for the customer to choose from.

Mortgagez’s services also include additional mortgage-related options such as solicitor search options based on price, rating or location as well as insurance options and even removal quotes which are fully integrated into the platform, helping the customer save both time and money. The online broker aims to create a one-stop-shop for all things mortgages under one convenient and user-friendly roof.

Mortgagez’s platform is powered by the award-winning technology firm, Iress who is responsible for supplying the platforms market-leading mortgage data.

Dave Miller, Executive General Manager – Commercial, at Iress, said: “We’ve been working with the team at Mortgagez since their inception and we’re proud to have helped them create their state-of-the art platform. Mortgagez understand that while technology is the driving force in broker efficiency, human interaction is still paramount and their platform balances both sides of this equation.”

While online mortgage brokers are becoming more accepted in the property market, Mortgagez has stated that “no mortgage portal is ever going to substitute human advice.” As such, the portal claim to offer a ‘hybrid’ model that combines the quick, online quotes coupled with smart solutions from fully qualified CeMAP mortgage brokers.
