Further details of a major new residential scheme in Salford Quays have been revealed today by developer Cole Waterhouse.
The London & Manchester-based real estate developer has submitted a ‘reserved matters’ planning application for the 250,640 sq ft Anchorage Gateway scheme which will deliver up to 290 new apartments in Salford Quays.
Cole Waterhouse CEO Damian Flood says: “We are pleased to present this new application, which sees a reduction of commercial space in favour of more amenities for residents, including terraces and penthouse apartments. We know that there is a huge appetite for well-built, quality homes at the right price in this area, and this development will be a key scheme in the ongoing regeneration of Salford.
“Anchorage Gateway is in a great location between MediaCityUK, Exchange Quay and Trafford Park and easily within reach of both Salford and Manchester city centres. It will provide a distinctive focal point at the entrance to Salford Quays and will be at the centre of a vibrant new community.”
Salford City Council unanimously approved outline consent for Anchorage Gateway in November last year. The latest design comprises of 29 storeys, made up of a ground and mezzanine floor, with 27 levels of residential accommodation offering 290 one, two and three-bedroom apartments.
Developer Cole Waterhouse has also submitted new proposals for 4,000 sq ft of commercial space as well as extensive private terraces – amongst a host of other new features.
As part of its commitment to the area, Cole Waterhouse will also pay a total of £1.3m towards a series of local park projects. The developer plans to commence work on the Anchorage Gateway site in Q3 2020.
