Residential People has learned that a £5 million development of seven luxury townhouses and three apartments have been completed in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter.
Located in Northwood Street, joint venture developers Key Land Developments and Urban Village Group revealed that the ‘Crown Walks’ development has reached practical completion, and all 10 properties have been sold.
Kevin Sharkey, director of Birmingham-based Key Land Developments, said: “We’re very proud of the amazing development we’ve created right in the very heart of the Jewellery Quarter.
“This is a historic area, and we’re delighted that the Crown Works reflects the wonderful artistic, creative and industrial heritage of the Jewellery Quarter. The homes are built and fitted out to a very high specification, and buyers have appreciated the attention to detail.
“To have sold all 10 properties before reaching practical completion clearly demonstrates that there is a demand in the Jewellery Quarter for high-quality houses, rather than just more apartments, and we are keen to find other sites that could accommodate a similar development.”
Located just a short walk from several bars, shops and restaurants, Crown Works also benefits from the nearby Metro station and Snow Hill train station just minutes away, as well as Birmingham’s city centre only a 15-minute walk away.
A local residential agency, FleetMilne, which let and manages over 80 apartments next door to Crown Works, are experts in the Jewellery Quarter. It recently successfully found tenants for one of the stunning four-storey townhouses at Crown Works, and Nicola Fleet-Milne, the agency’s founder, was impressed by the quality of the finished product.
“The Jewellery Quarter is always seeking larger residential properties which offer more space to allow families to move into the area. We were thrilled to bring this townhouse to market and look forward to marketing more large properties in the area this autumn,” she said
