Developer Urban Village Capital has announced that a £14 million build-to-rent conversion which has transformed former offices into 63 luxury apartments has reached practical completion.
As previously reported by Residential People, the new 63-apartment scheme is located in the heart of Sutton Coldfield.
The Birmingham-based investment and development business is also set to deliver 12 luxurious penthouses, providing stunning views over the nearby Sutton Park.
Speaking on the development, Executive director Kevin Sharkey said: “We are excited to announce that we have reached practical completion of Knight’s House, our £14 million build-to-rent development in the heart of Sutton Coldfield.
“Knight’s House is a fantastic, high-quality development which is bringing new life to a tired old building. It’s hugely satisfying to see what was a vacant and dilapidated office block transformed into dozens of exciting new homes.”
The original office building has seven floors but has since been extended with the addition of two further storeys in order to accommodate the penthouse apartments.
In the new design, floors one to seven each have six two-bedroom apartments and a single one-bedroom apartment, while the 12 penthouses all feature two bedrooms.
Sharkey adds: “The apartments offer excellent quality in a location which is just a two-minute walk to Sutton Coldfield train station and bus stops. Commuters can be in Birmingham city centre in around 20 minutes on the cross-city railway line.”
